Expected results

The main expected results of the project are the following:

  • Preparation of the national Prioritized Action Framework for financing Natura 2000 in Spain and its submission to the European Commission.

  • Dissemination of the PAF to all relevant authorities and stakeholders.

  • Elaboration of a study on the use of financial instruments for the Natura 2000 Network, including innovative financial mechanisms.

  • Design and detailed planning of (5-7) selected pilot priority actions in relation to strategic objectives for Natura 2000 and involving the use of different financial instruments. 

  • Preparation and publication of technical guidelines for the implementation of key measures to achieve strategic objectives and priorities for Natura 2000 over the period 2014-2020.
